EXTRA SAFE is a chat app built as a Signal alternative, designed for a market that increasingly understands privacy — from Signal’s growth to Elon Musk’s announcement of XChat.

Unlike corporate messaging platforms built around user data, EXTRA SAFE is designed using blockchain principles for security and governance.

Users operate via Ethereum-like cryptographic identities, with asymmetric encryption keys generated and stored locally on their own devices. Calls are device-to-device (P2P), and chats are deleted by default based on user-defined timers. The platform does not maintain long-term message storage or user records.

As a result, EXTRA SAFE does not rely on personal identifiers or persistent user data — raising a fundamental question for privacy professionals:
How does GDPR apply when personal data is structurally absent by design?
