Will Milligan

Will Milligan has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Will started in 2013 as a Research Engineer at Athersys and worked there until 2016. Will then joined eXmoor Pharma Concepts Ltd in 2017, where they held multiple roles including Senior BioProcess Engineer, Process Development Lead, and Strategic Accounts Executive. In these roles, they gained experience in upstream process development studies for viral vectors, downstream process development, and analytical techniques such as qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and infectivity assays. In 2022, Will Milligan founded their own company called Extracellular.

Will Milligan began their education at Portadown College from 2004 to 2008. After completing their secondary education, they attended Newcastle University, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2008 to 2012. Will continued their studies at Newcastle University from 2012 to 2017, earning an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Biopharmaceutical Process Development.
