Extrema is the only social network designed specifically for athletes and sports enthusiasts to connect and engage, with a unique set of features tailored to their interests.

Our vision is to become the leading platform for connecting athletes globally, while our mission is to support and empower athletes worldwide to achieve success. This is why we are committed to donating part of our future earnings to our different charity organizations, dedicated to helping athletes in need to succeed. Athletes deserve to have their own adrenaline-fueled social network supporting them!

In 2013, after realizing the lack of extreme sports news and support in the local media in Dominican Republic, Kainani Silva founded Extrema Magazine, an action sports blog with only 4 categories: surfing, climbing, skateboarding and motocross. After 6 months, this blog converted into a digital magazine composed of 32 sports categories updated in a daily basis. After a year, the physical magazine was launched. In a short time, Extrema became more than a brand, but a tool that was giving athletes a voice!

In 2016, Kainani realized two things: 1st) To support more athletes globally, Extrema needed to go global. 2nd) She also noticed the need in athletes and sports enthusiasts to have their unique digital space where they could interact and enjoy unique features tailored to their interests, and that’s when the concept of Extrema Sports Network was born.

Kainani has won numerous entrepreneurial recognitions with Extrema, including:
- 1st Place and Overall Pitch - 2nd Annual Competition of Business Models by CIDE.
- 1st Place and Overall Pitch - 2nd Annual Competition of Business Models by CREE.
- 1st Place and Best National Business Pitch - 6th Annual Competition of Business Models by MESCYT (award given by the President of the Dominican Republic).

Extrema is currently in development and is scheduled to launch by the end of 2024.
