Chris Widmann

Chris Widmann is a seasoned technology executive with over two decades of experience in the networking industry. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions Engineering & Quality at Extreme Networks since July 2000, Chris has played a crucial role in aligning product development with customer needs and has been recognized as a leader in architecting advanced networking solutions. Previously, Chris held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Extreme Networks, overseeing a diverse team of hardware developers and engineers. Earlier career experience includes a role as Senior Design Engineer at Cisco Systems, contributing to WAN packet processing and Gigabit Ethernet developments, as well as a significant tenure at IBM in the Networking Hardware Division and Research Center, focusing on architecture for Ethernet switches and routers. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
