Tim Bourne

Tim Bourne is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Software Engineering Director at Extreme Networks since May 2008, Tim specializes in Linux upgrades, switches, infrastructure, source code management, and various protocols. Prior to this role, Tim held multiple positions at Ericsson IP Infrastructure from October 1999 to May 2008, focusing on Linux, kernel development, and device drivers. Earlier in Tim's career, from June 1987 to October 1999, Tim worked at IBM as a Software Engineer and Team Lead, contributing to projects related to controllers, routers, and network protocols. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland.
