Ben Smith

Ben Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital transformation and data management in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Assistant Manager for Intelligent Oil Field & Data Management at QatarEnergy since July 2023, Ben leads initiatives to advance the Digital Oil Field program. Previously, as Secondee to QatarEnergy and Senior Digital Program Manager for ExxonMobil, Ben successfully managed a digital program for the Guyana business unit, securing significant funding and generating substantial annual returns. With a solid background in digital innovation, operations readiness, and technology management, Ben has held various leadership roles at ExxonMobil, including Operations Technology Manager and Iraq IT Manager, and has developed expertise in implementing digital solutions across multiple international locations. Ben holds a Master's of Technology Management from Georgetown University, an MBA from Tulane University, and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Brigham Young University.
