David Gilbert

David Gilbert is currently a Diving and Subsea Construction Advisor at ExxonMobil, where they manage safety and execution for diving and subsea projects. With over 30 years of experience in the subsea construction industry, they spent the first 15 years advancing from dive tender to diving supervisor, primarily offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. David has also worked as a Diving Project Manager at BP and has continued to serve as a subsea advisor for major oil companies. Passionate about diving safety, they participate in several industry safety work groups, including the US GoM Diving Safety Work Group, where they have been a member of the Executive Board since 2014.
