Michael Thelen

Michael Thelen, PE, is a seasoned reservoir engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Reservoir Team Lead for ExxonMobil in Texas since July 2022, Michael previously held positions at Percussion Petroleum II, LLC and Oasis Petroleum, where responsibilities included reservoir engineering and development strategies in the Delaware and Bakken basins. Michael's career also includes a significant tenure at Halliburton as a Technical Advisor and Account Representative, focusing on hydraulic fracturing and cementing operations. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, Michael has demonstrated expertise in analytical and statistical analyses, well design optimization, and technology implementation throughout various roles.
