Rusty Shaw

Rusty Shaw is the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Denbury, Inc., an ExxonMobil subsidiary, where they manage a team focused on HSE permitting, compliance, and reporting across oil and gas operations. Rusty received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Millsaps College in December 1999 and began their career at Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station in February 2001, holding various positions until joining Denbury Resources in April 2008. Over the years, Rusty progressed from an HSE Coordinator to an Environmental Compliance Manager before achieving their current director position in January 2023. Rusty has extensive experience in regulatory compliance, environmental management, and the compliance aspects of carbon capture utilization and storage projects.
