Sonya Kripke

Sonya Kripke is a senior project manager at Exyn Technologies. Previously, they worked as a materials engineer at the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from July 2017 to March 2021, where they managed novel coatings application projects for US Navy Ships, updated stakeholders regarding progress towards project completion, and conducted laboratory analysis of coating failure. Prior to their work at NAVSEA, Sonya interned at Lightning Packs from May to August 2016, where they provided insight and advice on materials selection for two new design components in the primary product, solved a quality issue by recommending a mechanical testing procedure, and assisted in the development of proposals for governmental funding opportunities.

Sonya Kripke has a Master of Science in Materials Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a Certificate in Computer Science from Drexel University, and a Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Sonya also studied abroad for a semester in Materials Science & Engineering at ETH Zürich. Sonya is certified by LinkedIn in Learning Jira Software.
