Akbar K. is a seasoned tax manager with extensive expertise in R&D tax credits, Employee Retention Tax Credits, and Cost Segregation studies. Currently serving as a Tax Manager at EY since March 2025, Akbar has previously held similar roles at Bonham & Brook and Leyton, where responsibilities included assisting clients with audit defense. With a foundational background in tax consulting, as well as experience at KPMG and Block Advisors, Akbar has developed a comprehensive understanding of the tax field. Prior to a focus on tax, Akbar excelled in client relationship management and marketing at Citibank North America, SOS HR Solutions, and Cold Steel Corporation, achieving significant accomplishments in client retention and revenue growth. Akbar holds advanced degrees in accounting and a certification from the California Tax Education Council.
