Alex Weterings is a professional athlete and entrepreneur with extensive experience in both sports and business. From January 2015 to September 2023, Alex competed as a professional athlete in national youth teams for the Netherlands, while also actively participating in the men's first team of hdm in the KNHB Hoofdklasse since August 2020. In April 2023, Alex founded Freefy, a second-hand platform aimed at promoting reuse and sustainability. Alex also gained experience as a Project Engineer in Sustainability at Anthony Veder, focusing on fuel consumption and emissions reporting, and worked in social media marketing at Dita International B.V. Additionally, Alex is pursuing a Master's degree in Business Information Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and has previously attained a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce and a minor in Industrial and Product Design. Currently, Alex is interning as a Technology Strategy and Transformation Consultant at EY, working on leveraging GenAI in auditing processes.
