Anne Freden

Anne Freden is currently a Partner and Principal in the US VAT practice at EY, based in San Francisco, where they lead the West Region VAT practice. With a focus on operational management of indirect tax across various sectors, Anne serves clients ranging from startups to established global companies, particularly in technology and digital sectors. Previously, Anne held positions as a Director and Senior Consultant in EY's UK VAT practice, after starting their career as a Senior Consultant in the Netherlands VAT practice. Anne earned a BA in Sociology and a Master of Science in Development Studies from Wellesley College and the London School of Economics, respectively.
