Bruce Nie

Bruce (Yuyang) Nie is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in AI, machine learning, and software development. Currently serving as a Manager in AI & Data at EY since October 2025, previous roles include Technical Pod Lead at AltaML, where product development for AI applications was directed, and a Senior Machine Learning Developer with notable achievements such as leading the development of a scalable GenAI chatbot and creating ML pipelines utilizing Large Language Models. Bruce has also contributed to research at the University of Alberta and has experience as an open-source developer and software engineer across various companies, implementing innovative solutions and optimizing algorithms. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science Honours and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Alberta.
