Catherine Thorn

Catherine Thorn is a Partner at EY with over 25 years of experience in Financial Services, encompassing roles in compliance, sales, and marketing, as well as traditional actuarial functions like product development and capital management. Catherine has previously held positions such as Head of Actuarial Services Finance at AEGON Scottish Equitable, where they managed a team responsible for capital planning and reporting. During their tenure at Prudential UK, they served as Deputy With-Profits Actuary, advising the Board on key projects, and they also played significant roles at Standard Life Aberdeen and Phoenix Group. Catherine's educational background includes a BSc in Theoretical Physics, Logic and Philosophy from the University of St Andrews, an MBA from The Open University, and they are a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries.
