David Takeuchi

David Takeuchi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in retail design and strategy consulting. Currently serving as Principal at EY since February 2014, David leads the Global Strategy Advisory team in facilitating enterprise-wide performance transformations. David's previous roles include International Vice President for the Retail Design Institute from November 2014 to November 2016, where responsibilities included enhancing the visibility of retail innovation and digital transformation globally. Prior to that, David was President of the Northern California Chapter of the Retail Design Institute from March 2011 to March 2014 and Co-Founder and CEO of Bedrock Consultants, a Customer Experience consulting firm, from April 2000 to January 2014. Earlier career highlights include serving as Creative Director at Addison and Associate at Gensler, where retail design projects included notable clients such as Sony Pictures Entertainment and Disney. David holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphics/Packaging from ArtCenter College of Design, complemented by studies at California State University, Long Beach.
