Dean Yates

Dean Yates is the Managing Partner for the Oceania Government and Health Sciences at EY, leading initiatives in the public sector. They joined EY in 2015 as a Partner in the Performance Improvement Finance Advisory practice, following a distinguished thirty-year career in various leadership roles within the Victorian, Commonwealth, and Tasmanian public sectors. Dean served as the Secretary of the Victorian Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure and held influential positions including Deputy Secretary in the Budget and Financial Management Division and Deputy Secretary for Policy and Cabinet. Their expertise encompasses public sector leadership, budget management, and infrastructure policy. Dean holds degrees in Economics from the University of Tasmania and an EMBA from Melbourne Business School.
