Emma Oates

Emma Oates is currently the Global Privacy Counsel at EY, a position held since 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as an Associate at Hogan Lovells from 2019 to 2021 and served as a Legal Secondee in the Commercial Team at Standard Life from 2016 to 2017. Emma began their legal career as a Technology and Commercial Solicitor at Burness Paull LLP, where they worked from 2015 to 2017, following their training as a Trainee Solicitor. They hold a Bachelor of Laws and a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from The University of Glasgow, and spent an Erasmus year abroad at Københavns Universitet.
