Jim Porter

Jim Porter is an Executive Director at EY, specializing in ASC 740 - Accounting for Income Taxes, consolidated tax compliance, and mergers and acquisitions. They began their career as Tax Staff-Senior at Bally Entertainment Corporation from 1993 to 1996, followed by a role as Tax Senior at Bally Total Fitness until 1998. Jim then served as Tax Manager at 360 Communications for a year before joining Ernst & Young in 1999, where they have been an Executive Director ever since. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Taxation from DePaul University.
