Mark Novak

Mark Novak is a Senior Tax Professional currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at The University of Western Ontario. Previously, Mark served as a Tax Lawyer at MKN Legal Consulting, advising clients on representations to governmental bodies. Mark also held significant roles, including VP Taxation for Aviva Canada, where they led the tax department and established overall tax strategy. With experience as a Senior Manager International Tax at both EY and Deloitte Canada, Mark focused on sophisticated international transactions and provided compliance, planning, and risk management services throughout their career. Early in their professional journey, Mark served as a Tax Policy Officer at Finance Canada, developing tax policy and drafting relevant legislation.
