Matt Jones

Matthew (Matt) Jones is currently an Advisor in Residence at EY, focusing on internal audit. They retired from Caterpillar Inc. in October 2025, where they served as Vice President and Chief Audit Officer, overseeing the company's global audit function for nearly a decade. With a career at Caterpillar spanning four decades, Matt was a key liaison to the Audit Committee and coordinated numerous committee meetings. They also held leadership positions as Group Chief Financial Officer of Construction Industries and had significant board experience with the University of Illinois Gies College of Business and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy, graduating with high honors from the University of Illinois in 1992.
