Matt Sharpe

Matt Sharpe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in tax and accounting. Currently serving as a Director at EY since April 2021, Sharpe also holds the position of Managing Partner at The Sharpe Accountants & Tax Advisors since December 2020. With a background as a Franchisee at Puddle Ducks North East since 2010, Sharpe previously worked as a Partner and North East Head of Tax at Baldwins Accountants from August 2017 to September 2020. Prior roles at EY from March 2014 to July 2017 included Tax Senior Manager, and a lengthy tenure at KPMG UK from September 1997 to March 2014 encompassed roles as Senior Tax Manager and Head of Property (North East). Educationally, Sharpe earned a BA in Economics & Geography from The University of Sheffield between 1994 and 1997 and completed A Levels and GCSEs in Economics at The Deepings School from 1987 to 1994.
