Michael Gibson

Michael Gibson is an Executive Director in the EY Financial Services Consulting practice and part of EY’s Global Regulatory Network, focusing on regulatory solutions for financial institutions. Prior to joining EY in 2025, they served for 13 years as the Director of the Federal Reserve Board’s Division of Supervision and Regulation, where they oversaw bank regulatory policy and supervision, collaborated with U.S. and international officials, and represented the Federal Reserve on the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Michael spent 30 years at the Federal Reserve, including roles as Deputy Director of the Division of Research and Statistics, following their Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University.
