Nick Catton is a senior economist with extensive experience in quantifying economic and fiscal impacts of government policies. They served as a senior economist at HM Revenue & Customs from 2004 to 2015, where they led policy analysis and forecasting for indirect taxes and played a pivotal role in several major reforms. Prior to that, Nick held various roles at HM Treasury from 1991 to 2004, focusing on macroeconomic modelling and fiscal policy. Currently, Nick is a director in economic advisory at EY, where they analyze fiscal impacts and provide insights into policy development for both government and private clients. They earned an MA in Economics from the University of Warwick and a BSc in Economics from the University of Southampton.
