Penny Shield

Penny Shield is the EY Risk Consulting Leader in the Oceania region, with over 25 years of international experience in risk, governance, internal audit, and controls across Australia, Ireland, and Russia. They have led internal audit transformations for multinational corporations and supported clients in both corporate and government sectors, with expertise spanning transport, energy, infrastructure, and retail. Currently a Partner at Ernst & Young, they hold multiple qualifications including Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ and Certified Internal Auditor. Penny also serves on various boards and committees, including the Finance and Audit Committee at Cancer Council Queensland and as a Director at Brisbane Powerhouse. They possess dual bachelor's degrees in Commerce and Arts (Music) from The University of Queensland.
