Rainer Zah

Rainer Zah is an environmental scientist and sustainability leader with over 20 years of experience in driving impactful sustainability initiatives. They have held various prominent positions, including Director of Sustainability Consulting at EY since 2023 and Head of Business Unit Environment at Stadt Zürich from 2019 to 2023. Rainer also served as Managing Director for Quantis International from 2013 to 2018, leading business development efforts in Switzerland and Germany. Earlier in their career, they contributed to the field through roles at Empa and Eawag, and they developed a module on Sustainable Technologies as a Lecturer at Volkswagen. Rainer earned their degree from Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich between 1996 and 2000.
