Principal

Robert Carroll is a Principal at Ernst & Young, co-leading the Quantitative Economics and Statistics Group since June 2010. This team of quantitative analysts supports a diverse clientele with federal tax policy issues and economic impact studies. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Tax Analysis at the US Department of the Treasury from November 2003 to January 2008, providing economic advice on federal taxation to the Secretary and the White House. Earlier roles include Senior Economist for Public Economics at the President's Council of Economic Advisors and Financial Economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where responsibilities encompassed economic analyses for tax policy and budget proposals. Robert Carroll holds a PhD in Economics from Syracuse University, obtained in 1990.
