Ryan Kelly currently serves as the Americas ITTS Tax Controversy Leader and Principal at EY since September 2019. In addition to this role, Ryan is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, teaching legal research, analysis, and writing in the tax LL.M program until August 2024. Ryan's previous experience includes serving as a Partner at Alston & Bird LLP, where guidance was provided to Fortune 500 companies on complex cross-border transactions. Ryan also held the position of Attorney at the Internal Revenue Service, advising on international tax issues, and worked as a Tax Attorney at Baker McKenzie, representing clients in various tax matters. Earlier in Ryan's career, an entrepreneurial law firm was founded, and experience was gained in general litigation with Preston & Malcom, PC. Ryan holds an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from Mercer University, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia.
