Sarah Appleton is an experienced Associate Director at EY, specializing in assurance, regulatory compliance, and operational implementation across New Zealand and Australia. They lead the design and execution of EY’s quality management system under ISQM1 and contribute significantly to climate assurance initiatives, including the implementation of NZ SAE 1 assurance over greenhouse gas emissions. Prior to their current role, Sarah took a career break to support their family while living in Santiago, Chile, and they are a Chartered Accountant, proudly recognized with the ICAS Gold Medal in 2002. Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Accountancy & Finance, graduating with first class honors from Heriot-Watt University.
