Shawn Maher

Shawn Maher serves as the Global Vice Chair - Public Policy at EY since June 2022. Prior to this role, Maher spent over a decade at the Royal Bank of Canada, where responsibilities included managing U.S. Regulatory and Government Affairs. Notable prior positions include Deputy Assistant to the President at The White House and Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Maher also held roles in significant legislative and legal capacities, such as Legislative Director for Senator Christopher J. Dodd and Policy Counsel at the Democratic National Committee. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Social Studies from Harvard University.
