Somesh Kumar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the power and utilities sector. Currently serving as Partner and Leader for Power & Utilities Decarbonisation & Sustainability at EY since 2016, Somesh Kumar is responsible for driving business growth and building a multidisciplinary team of experts. Previously, Somesh Kumar held the position of Head of Regulations & Advocacy at TATA Power, focusing on regulatory affairs and policy interactions from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, Somesh Kumar worked at Accenture as a Principal, assisting power companies with strategy development, and held roles at EY and Arthur Andersen, emphasizing large-scale program management and organizational restructuring within the power sector. Somesh Kumar holds a B.Com (Hons) from Shri Ram College of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
