Stephanie Simmonds

Stephanie Simmonds is the EMEIA Privacy Lead at EY, bringing extensive expertise as a regulatory lawyer specializing in data protection, EU competition law, and public law. With a significant history at the BBC, they worked as a Senior Advisor in Information Rights Law and later as Deputy Head of Legal, where they set legal strategies and managed regulatory relationships. Prior to this, Stephanie served as a Policy Analyst at the New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development, contributing to critical legislation and stakeholder engagement. They hold multiple degrees, including an LLB and BA from the University of Auckland, as well as postgraduate qualifications in EU competition law.
