Sukanta Roy

Sukanta Roy is a seasoned professional in strategy consulting with extensive experience in investment promotion, regulatory reforms, and economic development. Currently serving as a Director at EY since February 2014, Sukanta has progressed through various roles including Senior Manager, Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant, focusing on enhancing the ease of doing business and supporting entrepreneurship. Prior experience includes consulting roles at the Technology Agency of Czech Republic, where an impact evaluation methodology was established for a significant funding program, and at IBM, developing smart technology policies. Sukanta also worked as a Scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, contributing to defense technology development. Academic qualifications include a Master of Philosophy in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
