Sumien Coetzer

Sumien Coetzer is a finance leader with extensive experience in various finance functions within the banking sector. They served as a Technical Accounting Director at Barclays from 2013 to 2024, after holding roles as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and Financial Reporting Accountant. Prior to that, Sumien completed an accounting traineeship at PwC from 2005 to 2008. Currently, Sumien is an Associate Partner in Corporate Reporting Services at EY. They hold an Honours degree in Accounting from Stellenbosch University, earned between 2001 and 2004, and are passionate about people initiatives related to wellbeing and diversity and inclusion.
