Mark Allen is a seasoned professional in the fields of virtual production, technical animation, and visual effects, currently serving as the Lead Virtual Production Stage Operator at Eyeline Studios, powered by Netflix, since March 2024. With extensive experience in academia, Mark has been a Senior Lecturer at Loyola Marymount University since September 2015, teaching various courses including Virtual Production and Technical Animation. Mark’s prior roles include serving as an Unreal Authorized Instructor for Epic Games and working as a Technical Artist and Virtual Production TD at Magnopus, where significant tools and utilities were developed for filmmakers. In addition, Mark has contributed educationally as faculty at the John Hughes Institute and held positions at Chaos Group and RGH Themed Entertainment, focusing on training and improving documentation. Mark holds an MFA in Film & Television Production from Loyola Marymount University and a BFA in Digital Media from Otis College of Art and Design.
