James McKelvie is a highly experienced ophthalmologist currently serving as the Clinical Director at the New Zealand National Eye Bank since February 2023. James holds dual roles at The University of Auckland as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer within the Department of Ophthalmology, alongside contributions as an Honorary Lecturer. Additional positions include Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and anterior segment at Te Whatu Ora Waikato, Director at Hamilton Eye Clinic, and member of the Medical Advisory Board at EyeQue Corporation.
