Eyescreen, Inc. is redefining how preclinical drug development is done for retinal and neurodegenerative diseases. Based in Utah, we offer a unique human-centered alternative to traditional animal and cell models by using revitalized post-mortem human retina for ex vivo testing.

Through our proprietary platform, researchers and companies can access functional human retinal tissue for high-resolution electrophysiological assays—including ex vivo electroretinography (ERG). This system allows for real-time measurement of drug effects on the retina, enabling faster, more accurate, and more translatable safety and efficacy data.

Eyescreen is proud to work with biopharmaceutical companies, academic researchers, and CROs to test investigative new drugs, benchmark existing therapies, and co-develop custom assays. Our team provides flexible, end-to-end support—including human tissue sourcing, custom hardware, protocol development, and data analysis.

We are also developing modular ex vivo ERG systems that can be installed directly in customer labs. These systems are designed with flexibility in mind and are easily configured to support a wide range of preclinical testing applications.
