John Grant

John Grant has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Fabric since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Manager, Software Engineering at Warner Bros. Discovery from April 2022 to August 2022.

From 2018 to 2022, John served as a Staff Engineer at Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies, where they specialized in full stack application development for content management services. During this time, they focused on Infrastructure As Code, Serverless Backends, and Single Page Applications.

Before joining Warner Bros., John worked as a Software Engineering Consultant for himself from May 2015 to December 2017. John had prior experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Systems Technology, Inc., Hawthorne, from July 2007 to April 2015. At this company, they played a vital role in advancing simulation products and leading system design and technical contribution for product development. John also contributed to technical writing for revenue growth opportunities.

In addition, John worked as a Research Associate at the Naval Postgraduate School for the United States Department of Defense from June 2005 to June 2007. Prior to that, they served as a Research Assistant at the Virtual Reality Applications Center at Iowa State University from 2001 to 2004.

John Grant earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University, completing their studies from 1998 to 2001. In 2013, they took courses on Machine Learning and Computational Photography from Coursera, and also completed courses on Web Development from Udacity during the same year. Additionally, in 2010 and 2011, they obtained a certificate in Digital Signal Processing from UCLA Professional Extension. John Grant also obtained certifications in Machine Learning and Computational Photography from Coursera in December of 2013 and April of 2013, respectively.
