CPQ, or otherwise known as Configure, Price Quote software, I have been creating and using it since before there was an acronym for it. It is software that quickens the configuration, pricing and quoting of products that are highly customized and complex. It assists in the matching of customer requirements with the ultimate product,

As the quote is being configured, engineering calculations and rules are applied to the evaluation of product features and finally, the commercial documentation is generated. Ultimately, this process saves time, reduces errors with a result of greater sales productivity. This allows the sales team to address more opportunities.
Product design methods are captured in the program rules reducing the risk of human capital flight and knowledge drain.

Other advantages:
•	Guided selling
•	Engineering, Estimating and Sales efficiency and productivity
•	Quotation accuracy
•	Reduction in operation cost
•	Customer satisfaction and ease
•	Standardized processes streamlining production & procurement
•	More accurate BI
•	Easier product management
•	Analytic data
•	Document consistency
