Ian Labitue has a long and varied work history. Ian began their career as a Finance Analyst (Intern) at JPMorgan Chase in 2001. In 2002, they joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Finance Analyst, where they focused on transactions originating from the investment bank and was responsible for primary syndications of loans. In 2003, they joined GE Energy as a Corporate Finance Analyst and completed their Finance Management Program, earning business honors in three of four classes. From 2008-2011, they worked as a Real Estate Attorney for Hunton & Williams LLP, where they counseled clients on corporate entity selection and drafting of related entity documents. From 2011-2016, they worked as a Real Estate Attorney for Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, where they counseled owners and developers of multi-family housing projects. From 2016-2017, they worked as Assistant General Counsel for Nationwide Realty Investors, where they provided legal and strategic guidance. In 2020, they co-founded facefwd, a social media platform that allows users to share videos and get real reactions from other users. Finally, from 2017-2020, they worked as Director of Business Development & Strategy and Director of Finance for Kaufman Development.

Ian Labitue began their education at the Boston Latin School, where they graduated with a diploma in 1998. Ian then attended Morehouse College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Finance in 2002. In 2005, they enrolled at the University of Michigan Law School, where they received their J.D. and a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development in 2008.
