Rasmus Grapentin

Rasmus Grapentin has significant work experience in various technology-related roles. Rasmus is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Facelift since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at chess24 GmbH where they served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) from March 2014 to March 2022. During their time at chess24 GmbH, they also held the position of Managing Director from October 2016 to August 2017.

Before joining chess24 GmbH, Rasmus held positions at ICANS GmbH, Nokia gate5 GmbH, cellity AG, and Infospace, gaining experience as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Project & Team Lead Software Engineering, Developer People Platform & ScrumMaster, and Senior Mobile Software Developer, respectively. Rasmus Grapentin has a strong educational background in computer science. Rasmus obtained their Diplom-Medieninformatiker (FH) degree from Fachhochschule Wedel, where they studied from 2001 to 2009. Before that, they attended G6 - Technical College from 2000 to 2001, where they received their College Entrance Qualification with a focus on design.

Additionally, Rasmus has acquired various certifications throughout their career. In 2009, they became a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance. Rasmus further expanded their skills by completing training programs such as Pair Programming and Retrospectives at it-agile GmbH in 2011. Rasmus also engaged in professional development courses like Softskills for Managers and Properly Managed Hiring Interviews from various institutions.

In terms of non-academic certifications, Rasmus obtained certification as a Certified Fire Protection Assistant from TEN Training Center for First Aid in 2016. Rasmus also demonstrated their commitment to professional growth by obtaining Teambuilding certification from the Institute for Professional Dialogue in 2013 and participating in courses in appraisal management, software architecture, and business English in the years prior.
