Kris Vlekken

Kris Vlekken has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. They started their career at Moore Stephens Belgium as an Accountant, working from January 2003 to August 2006. They then joined Facil as an Accounts Receivable from September 2006 to December 2006. Kris continued to work for Facil, holding various roles including Chief Accountant Europe from January 2007 to July 2011, and Group Financial Controller from July 2011 to June 2013. They then moved on to FrieslandCampina, where they worked as a Senior Accountant Foodservice France/Italy/Spain from July 2013 to December 2017. Kris also served as a SAP FI/CO Project member & keyuser Foodservice/Cheese Butter & Milkpowder from September 2014 to March 2019. Their most recent role was at Facil as a Finance Manager Europe from April 2019 to October 2019, before transitioning to their current position as a Corporate Controller, starting in November 2019.

Kris Vlekken obtained a Master's degree in Economics from UHasselt, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. In 2002, they also pursued a course in English Language and Literature/Letters at the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Following this, Kris enrolled at AP Hogeschool Antwerpen from 2005 to 2006 to earn another Master's degree, this time focusing on Direct/Indirect Tax Law.

In terms of additional certifications, Kris completed a program in Digital Leadership at Vlerick Business School in April 2021. Kris also participated in an internship at the EU Statistics Division with the Nationale Bank van België; however, the specific dates of this internship are not provided.
