Abhay Singhal is a member of the technical staff at Factory since August 2024. Previously, Abhay worked as a student researcher at Google DeepMind, focusing on algorithms for training data attribution, model interpretability, and LLM training efficiency from September 2023 to February 2024. Abhay's research experience at the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) spanned from April 2022 to October 2023, where Abhay, advised by Professor Percy Liang and PhD candidate Rohith Kuditipudi, received the CURIS Fellowship and presented findings to the Stanford Computer Science faculty. Additionally, Abhay contributed as an AI engineer at H2O.ai for a brief period in July to September 2023, leading the development of EvalGPT for evaluating Large Language Models. Earlier experience includes an internship at OSS Capital, L.P. from January to June 2022, where systems for decision intelligence and automated analysis were designed. Abhay holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and is pursuing a Master of Science in the same field at Stanford University.
