James Shepherd

James Shepherd has extensive experience in data science and analysis. James is currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at Faculty since February 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at Cabinet Office from February 2021 to February 2022. Before joining the public sector, James worked as a Senior Data Scientist at DWP Digital from October 2018 to January 2021. James began their career as an Analyst at Tesco in November 2015 and then progressed to the role of Senior Analyst from June 2017 to December 2017.

James Shepherd received their education as follows:

- From 2001 to 2008, they attended Merchant Taylors' School Crosby.

- From 2008 to 2012, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics and Philosophy at the University of Leeds.

- From 2010 to 2011, they participated in an International Year Abroad program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, focusing on Physics and Philosophy.

- Lastly, from 2012 to 2015, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematical Modelling at the University of Leeds.
