Michael Loh

Michael Loh is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and data science. Currently employed at Faire as a Software Engineer, Michael's previous roles include Software Engineer at Fireworks AI, Principal Software Engineer at Normal Computing, and Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Plaid, where a notable achievement included creating Plickets, an ML-based solution that significantly enhanced customer support triage speed. Michael has also held key positions at Dropbox, leading efforts that resulted in a reduction of storage costs by $4M annually through a patented ML optimization algorithm, and at Salesforce, where contributions to the development of ML services and the TransmogrifAI AutoML library were pivotal. Additional experience includes improving MapReduce model training infrastructure at Quantcast and developing NLP algorithms at Fleksy. Michael holds an M.S. in Physics from the University of Chicago and a BS in Physics from UCLA.
