Sylvia Thrower currently serves as the Black Faire Folk (BFF) Co-chair and Customer Support Specialist at Faire since January 2022, where involvement also includes chairing events for the BFF Employee Resource Group. Sylvia previously worked as a Case Manager for Dekalb County DFCS from August 2021 to January 2022 and held a position in admissions and enrollment at Brenau University from June 2018 to August 2021. Additionally, Sylvia contributed to youth development as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club of Lanier from November 2019 to March 2021. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, expected to graduate in July 2026, Sylvia earned a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Brenau University in April 2021.
