Mark Sylvia

Mark Sylvia is an experienced leader in policy and civic engagement, currently serving as Chief of Staff at BlueWave since January 2015. In this role, Mark oversees various teams, including Policy, Government Affairs, Civic Engagement, People, and Marketing, while managing corporate administration. Additionally, Mark holds the position of Managing Director of People and Civic Engagement at Alltrust Credit Union and serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Town of Fairhaven. Mark has a significant background in public service, having previously been the Undersecretary for Energy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where responsibilities included overseeing the Department of Energy Resources. Mark's efforts led to the establishment of the Green Communities Division and the allocation of millions in energy efficiency funds. Mark also served as Town Manager for Plymouth, MA, garnering recognition as the state's youngest town manager, and remains involved with SEBANE as President, advocating for the New England solar industry. Mark holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American University.
