Steven Frater

Steven Frater is a Principal Engineer with over 25 years of design experience in the engineering consultancy sector. With a diverse background in structural design, including bridge design, wastewater infrastructure, and flood risk management, they have developed extensive expertise in structural steelwork and reinforced concrete structures to Eurocodes. Currently, at Fairhurst, Steven coordinates and manages multi-disciplinary design teams, working closely with statutory bodies to devise strategies for successful flood risk management schemes across the UK. Steven earned a degree in Environmental Civil Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University and holds qualifications in Computer Aided Design and Civil Engineering from Stow College of Engineering.
