Fairstay is the UK's first skills-for-rent marketplace, enabling tenants to pay rent using their skills, cash, or a combination of both.

We built Fairstay because the traditional rental market was designed for a world that no longer exists. London rent now consumes 47% of the average tenant's income. 15 million UK workers have professional skills the market values at £30 to £80 per hour. And yet none of those skills count for anything when a landlord asks for three months of payslips and a UK guarantor.

Fairstay changes that equation.

A graphic designer pays £400 per month instead of £1,050 by maintaining her landlord's website. A 72-year-old homeowner earns £900 per month in rent and services from a spare room that was earning nothing. A small business owner gets on-site web development for the cost of a reduced rent. A co-living operator fills vacant beds with community-minded tenants who improve culture and pay a profitable rent.

We are not a listing platform. We are trust infrastructure. Every arrangement on Fairstay is backed by identity verification, a legally compliant skills-based tenancy agreement drafted with UK housing solicitors, peer-reviewed skill verification, and a portable Trust Score that follows tenants and hosts across every future arrangement.

We are pre-Series A, operating in London with pilots running across the UK. We are backed by 600 validated hosts, 1180 verified tenants, and over 200 active arrangements with zero churn since launching our desktop platform over 3 months ago.

If you are a tenant with skills, a homeowner with a spare room, a small business owner who needs affordable talent, or an investor who believes the housing market needs a structurally different solution, Fairstay was built for you.
Skills pay rent. Housing should be fair.
