Nick Carter has worked in a variety of roles in the construction industry since 2001. Nick began their career as a Graphical Interface Designer at Telvent and Catalyst in 2001 and 2004 respectively. In 2005, they took on a Structural Designer role at SNC Lavalin, where they worked on 3 Saudi Aramco jobs delivering high quality designs and drawings for construction. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Civil/Structural Technician at HOCS Projects, where they were responsible for drawing creation/control, 3D Modelling and Design, 2D drafting, RFI's and Construction support. Nick then moved to Fortress Engineering Ltd. in 2013, where they worked as an Intermediate Structural Technician, designing structural steel pipe supports, skids, buildings and platforms. In 2016, they took on a Construction Project Manager role at JLL, managing construction of new builds and renovations for Tim Hortons and other developments. Nick also worked as a Customer Relations Manager at SMS Vox Inc. the same year. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Project Manager at Integrity Post Structures, managing construction projects from Design to Built. Nick is currently a Project Manager at Falkbuilt Ltd.
Nick Carter's education history includes two degrees from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). From 1999 to 2001, they obtained an Engineering Design and Drafting degree with a field of study in Structural Design. From 2001 to 2003, they obtained a Computer Engineering Technology degree with a field of study in Computer Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the Alberta Construction Safety Association and Enform, including Health & Safety Committees and Representatives (2020), CSTS 2020 (2020), WHMIS (2020), and H2S (2014).
